Required Summer Reading 2019
High School
PreAP High School students will read two books and write two essays. 
1 fiction-Write a literary analysis essay focusing on the specific conflict.
1 book-length nonfiction-Write a reader response journal
*Students may choose from the free online books provided or as approved by their teacher.
Regular 
Regular High School students will read at least one book and write an essay.
*Students may choose from the free online books provided or as approved by their teacher.
They will write a reader’s response journal for a short nonfiction piece.

Middle School
All 6-8 will read at least one fiction book and one short informational text. 
They will write an essay exploring the specific conflict in their fiction book.
*Students may choose from the free online books provided or as approved by their teacher.

*All writing will be submitted to your English teacher via Google Classroom in August.
AP English students will receive their assignments directly from their teacher.
